It describes some of the achievements of such famous names as Alexander Nimmo, William Barrington, Charles Langor and John Killaly and many others. This book is heavily illustrated and contains location maps for each chapter. The items have been selected in order to illustrate some aspect of the historic development of civil engineering skills or in the scope of activity undertaken by the civil engineering profession.
